Why not to buy a Blackberry... no not cos it becomes Crackberry...

The good thing about RIM's Blackberry is that there are a limited number of handsets so deciding on which one to buy, is not so much of a problem. Once you buy the handset, not even half the battle is won.

You get it back to office and all your colleagues are raving about how cool the handset looks. Now the ordeal starts. You called the resident IT guy to know the blackberry can be configured so you can start getting your mails. And he starts.... First, before even thinking about your emails, you need to sync your old phone with the laptop and download all your 3000 + contacts onto the laptop. Only one problem, you seem to have misplaced the CD which came with the old phone... Anyway.. minor problem, the software can be downloaded from the net, thank God for that! Next, once all the contacts are downloaded on to the laptop, you transfer them to your blackberry. Phew! What a relief... But it’s not over.

Next, you got to send a request to the Server team in Singapore who in turn forward the request to the enterprise server team in San Jose. And then you got to wait for the password which they will send you.... for another 4 working days... can you believe it... another 4 days... Yippee... 96 hours later... the password is here. Time to test my Blackberry now. And yeah it works.... started getting my mails also... :-) S

o there you have it friends... if you so crazy about a Blackberry that it’s turned into a crackberry for you... Go ahead and buy it... but be ready to use all its features only 8 - 10 days later after all the formalities are over...

PS. I am buying an iphone.

Well every piece of technology is more or less human nowadays: it is clearly just a far off implication of perfection. Like any other human, it has more flaws than feats :) Anyways glad to know you are getting an iPhone. Hope that does not give you this much of a headache !!!

Well I must admit that's a very decent mobile and I wish to congratulate you over this mate. Have a nice time with the new piece of technology that you have got yourself. Just make sure that it does not end up owning you :)
